Built by a writer, for writers.

LyteWriter exists because its creator lived the problem it solves.

The Story

Pedro is a writer with a PhD in AI. After years of staring at screens, he made a deliberate choice: write on a typewriter and in notebooks. The sound of keys hitting paper. The feel of a pen. It helped him think more clearly and create more freely.

But there was a problem. All those beautiful pages of handwritten notes and typewritten drafts needed to become digital eventually. He tried photographing pages, but they piled up in his camera roll with no organization. He tried retyping, but that meant spending hours duplicating work he'd already done. Existing OCR tools were clunky and couldn't handle the imperfections of handwriting or the quirks of a typewriter.

So Pedro built LyteWriter. The same technology that people worry will replace human writing now powers the tool that preserves it. Smart OCR that understands crossed-out words and typewriter quirks. Cloud backup that keeps your work safe. And the Seal of Humanity, a verifiable, shareable seal that lets you prove your writing is yours to anyone who asks.

The Mission

The best ideas often start on paper. And right now, when AI can write anything, being able to prove you wrote something yourself matters more than it ever has.

LyteWriter's mission is simple: make sure your work is always safe, easy to digitalize, and verifiably human. Fountain pen, vintage typewriter, or our platform. Your words deserve to be preserved.

The Technology

LyteWriter is built on serious AI research, by someone who chose to step away from screens. Pedro's background in artificial intelligence gives LyteWriter a real edge: the OCR engine doesn't just read text, it understands it. It knows that crossed-out words shouldn't be transcribed. It corrects common misspellings and typewriter quirks. It distinguishes between handwriting and typewriting.

The Seal of Humanity works differently from AI text detectors. Instead of analyzing whether text looks AI-generated (which AI can learn to get around), we analyze the physical evidence of writing itself: the photograph, the ink imperfections, the keystroke dynamics. This is much harder to fake. And because every seal includes a unique verification code, anyone can independently confirm authenticity at lytewriter.com/verify without creating an account or accessing the original document.
